The death of a 14-year-old boy in an "isolated incident" on school grounds has left the school in a state of devastation.
On Tuesday afternoon, St Kentigern’s Academy in Blackburn, West Lothian had to be attended to by emergency services.
At approximately 1:20 PM, law enforcement officials were dispatched to the educational institution. A student in their third year of secondary education, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported to a medical facility but passed away shortly thereafter.
Police Scotland is currently investigating the death to determine all the details surrounding the incident.
St Kentigern’s Academy has released a statement saying that there was a singular event that occurred on their school premises.
The statement said that the school has reached out to the families of the students who are directly involved and are cooperating with the authorities in their investigation.
