A 14-year-old boy has passed away due to an incident that occurred on the grounds of a school, causing the school to feel devastated. The school has described the incident as an isolated occurrence.
On Tuesday afternoon, St Kentigern’s Academy in Blackburn, West Lothian, requested the assistance of emergency services.
At approximately 1:20 PM, law enforcement officials were dispatched to the school. The S3 student’s identity has not been revealed, but they were transported to a medical facility and passed away shortly thereafter.
Police Scotland is currently investigating to determine the complete details surrounding the death.
St Kentigern’s Academy released a statement stating that a particular incident occurred solely within the vicinity of the school and was not representative of a larger pattern.
The statement stated that they have contacted all parents of students who are directly affected and are helping the authorities with their ongoing investigations.
