The passing of a 14-year-old boy due to an "isolated incident" on a school’s premises has left the institution heartbroken. The school is deeply affected by the tragedy.
On Tuesday afternoon, St Kentigern’s Academy in Blackburn, West Lothian, had to be attended to by emergency services.
At approximately 1:20 PM, law enforcement officials were dispatched to the educational institution. The S3 student, whose identity remains undisclosed, was transported to a medical facility but passed away shortly after.
The authorities of Police Scotland are currently conducting investigations to determine the entire details surrounding the individual’s passing.
St Kentigern’s Academy released a statement stating that a particular event occurred only within the school premises and was not part of a larger pattern.
The statement mentioned that they have contacted all parents of students who have been directly impacted by the situation. They are also cooperating with the authorities who are currently investigating the matter.
According to Andrew Sharkey, the head teacher, the school community is deeply saddened by the news of the unfortunate passing of one of their students.
He expressed his sympathies by stating that their thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the affected individuals. He also offered his deepest condolences and support to them.
